Jack Butland's Rangers Move Revives England Career

Former England goalkeeper Jack Butland has joined Rangers on a four-year deal

Butland spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace and has been capped nine times by England

Jack Butland's move to Rangers has helped revive his England career, according to BBC Sport. The 30-year-old goalkeeper has joined the Scottish Premiership club on a four-year contract after being released by Crystal Palace.

Butland, who has nine England caps, spent last season on loan at Palace and made 15 appearances in all competitions. He was part of England's squad for the 2018 World Cup but has not played for his country since 2019.

However, Butland's move to Rangers has given him a chance to impress new England manager Gareth Southgate. The goalkeeper has started all three of Rangers' competitive matches this season and has kept two clean sheets.

Butland's performances have earned him praise from Southgate, who said: "Jack has been playing very well for Rangers and has shown that he is a top-class goalkeeper. He is a player who is in contention for a place in the England squad."

Butland will be hoping to continue his good form for Rangers and earn a recall to the England squad. He will be competing with the likes of Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope and Dean Henderson for a place in the team.
