About the National Trust for Scotland

The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) is a conservation charity that protects and promotes Scotland's natural and cultural heritage. Founded in 1931, the NTS now cares for over 100 iconic sites across the country, from historic castles and stately homes to stunning gardens and wild landscapes.

Properties and Collections

The NTS owns and manages around 130 properties and 180,000 acres (730 sq km) of land. These properties include some of Scotland's most iconic landmarks, such as:
