Hit-and-Run Arrests Made in Washington and Ohio
Wenatchee Arrest
A 55-year-old Wenatchee man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a hit-and-run incident. The incident occurred on Sunday night around 10:30 pm when a bicyclist reported being sideswiped by a black Toyota.
The suspect, Felipe Avalos, 66, was driving south on Broadway in a white van when he crashed into a bicyclist crossing near 115th.
Toledo Arrest
A 63-year-old Sacramento man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly hit and killed a bicyclist in west Toledo. Police identified the driver as Timothy Allen.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when he was struck by Allen's vehicle. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
