Ariane 6 Launch Date

Ariane 6: Europe's New Heavy-Lift Rocket Set for Maiden Flight

Launch Scheduled for July 9, 2024

Countdown to Liftoff Begins

The European Space Agency (ESA) has announced that the first launch of Ariane 6, Europe's new heavy-lift rocket, is scheduled for July 9, 2024, from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana.

The launch is expected to occur at the opening of a four-hour launch window, beginning at 1500 GMT. Ariane 6 has been in development for about a decade, and this maiden flight marks a significant milestone for ESA.

The rocket is designed to carry payloads of up to 21.5 metric tons into low Earth orbit, making it one of the most powerful rockets in operation today. It is expected to play a vital role in ESA's future space missions, including the launch of satellites, space probes, and astronauts.
